She's pretty helpful in a fight(and is default ranged which I vastly prefer to melee/unarmed), has some good lines, a halfway decent companion quest, and looks pretty good in a Merc Adventurer outfit :) Boone is pretty good in a firefight, but he's kind of boring as a character.
